A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be quite easy if you’ve got a web hosting service with our company. You can enable this option through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage the hosting account itself. You will see all the email addresses that you’ve created listed in alphabetical order and next to each one there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously reveal to you if a certain mailbox gets all the email messages for a given domain or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you want. If there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning notification from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be set up with a couple of mouse clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated service with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered via our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes under any domain name hosted here. To activate the catch-all feature for a certain mailbox, you will need to click the button with the same name, which will be to the right of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be achieved in the same manner and will not take more than one click either. If the catch-all option has already been enabled for a particular domain, you will receive a warning text message. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never disable or change anything automatically.
